ÖBB launches emergency bus program for closed sections on western and southern lines

The urgent travel warning remains in place until Thursday evening 19.09.2024! Together with Postbus, ÖBB wants to initiate a minimum service on the road between Vienna main station and Mürzzuschlag and Vienna main station and Linz main station (without intermediate stops) by bus. The buses will depart from Vienna main station, Linz main station and Mürzzuschlag at 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00. However, this service cannot be guaranteed due to the situation on the roads (e.g. road closures) and the availability of staff and buses (e.g. drivers and buses trapped by flooding). ÖBB appeals to passengers not to take or postpone all non-essential journeys.
